Meditations to Open Third Eye Chakra

The most important chakra to open first when you take up a kundalini meditation practice is the Third Eye Chakra. The Third Eye is also called the Ajan Chakra and is the sear of wisdom, intuition and psychic powers. The reason for focusing on opening this center first is so that inner guidance starts to flow and thus, help you with the rest of your spiritual practice and evolution.

There are many excellent meditation techniques for opening the Third Eye and in this article I would like to introduce you to three of them. These three techniques have been successfully used for centuries to open and balance the third eye and thus, extract the benefits that such activation produces.

1. AUM Mantra Chanting:

The first meditation technique for opening the third eye is the AUM mantra meditation. This method exploits the use of the seed sound to open a particular center. The seed sound of the Ajna Chakra is the sound AUM. Chanting this sound directly influences the center and causes it to activate and open.

To practice this technique sit up straight close your eyes and being to chant out loud the sound AUM. Make a long sound "OOOOOOOOOOOOO" and finish with a shorter "MMMMMM". In addition to chanting this mantra, keep your attention fixed on the center of your forehead. This is location of the third eye and attending to this region will further enhance the effectiveness of this mediation.

2. Silver Hammer Tapping.

Another powerful method for opening the third eye, is be using the silver hammer technique. In this meditation, you will again use the power of attention by focusing on the center of the forehead, and will couple with the following breathing pattern.

For this meditation, break up your inhalation into sixteen tiny sniffs, and with each sniff visualize a small silver hammer tapping the center of your forehead. Keep the sniffs very small so you can do sixteen to complete one inhalation. After you complete the inhalation, exhale in one breath and then repeat the pattern.

The number sixteen is associated with the center so it is important to control your breathing to allow for sixteen sniffs.

3. Alternate Nostril Breathing:

A third technique which can be used to activate this center is the method of alternate nostril breathing. To this meditation, following the breathing pattern below.

Close your right nostril and breathe in long, deep and slow through the left nostril. Also visualize the breath traveling in a straight line from the nostril to the center of the forehead. Then close the left nostril and exhale slowly through the right, this time visualizing the air leaving from the center of the forehead and out the nostril. Keeping the left nostril closed, now inhale through the right and then close the right and exhale through the left. All the time doing the visualization as well.

You can start with ten rounds initially and then build up from there. This is a very powerful technique and you should not overdo it initially. Make sure you are not doing more that you can handle comfortably at any time.

Summary:

So there you have three time tested, potent techniques for opening the all important third eye chakra. Once this center is open you will have the power to see the unseen and know the unknown.

How To Develop Your Clairvoyant Ability?

Do we all have Clairvoyant Ability?
Many people believe we were all born with psychic or clairvoyant abilities. However as we grow in the world we start to follow the mainstream way of thinking and overlook our potential for clairvoyant or psychic powers.

What is a Clairvoyant Ability?
A clairvoyant ability is seen as a spiritual gift and there are ways we can all develop these powers and unlock our own potential. Exercises to Boost Clairvoyant Abilities:Try these exercises to uncover your hidden clairvoyant ability.

1. The first one is an obvious one that we have all done and no doubt shown some success at. When the phone rings next time try and visualise who is calling before you answer. Try this regularly and see if your success rate improves. Could you be exploring your clairvoyant ability?

2. This one you can try with a friends help. Try to predict what the number of the dice will be before they roll it. Perhaps start by just trying to predict odd or even. This can help you develop intuition.

3. To further develop your intuition and precognition try to predict events and scores at your favourite sporting event or when watching a game on TV. Start by predicting the winner and as you gain confidence move on to predicting the score or other match statistics.

4. Next time you are in a queue at say the bank try to predict which window you will get called to. With practice you should be able to improve this prediction.

5. To develop remote viewing clairvoyant abilities try to imagine before a business or social meeting what the other person will be wearing. Start with concentrating on colour and as you practice move on to greater details. Write down your thoughts before the meeting so that you are sure to be honest with yourself.

6. When you are standing at the bar waiting to be served try to predict what drinks the person ahead of you will order. This can heighten your intuition skills.

7. Next time you are in the lift or elevator play a game at guessing which number button each new person who enters will press. This can help you develop precognition, clairvoyance and telepathy.

8. Another easy way to practice is with a friend and a pack of playing cards. Get your friend to turn over one card at a time and you just start by predicting red or black. If you can get your success rate up to 75% then expand your skills to predict the actual suit of the next card.
Clairvoyant ability can be developed with practice and patience. Try not to force the issue but incorporate these and other little exercises into your everyday life to learn to broaden your thoughts, develop your intuition and allow your natural clairvoyance to develop.

Sound Meditation

The benefits of meditating on sounds are the opening of more pathways within the brain. Any sounds can be used for this meditation. This includes any kind of music. Close your eyes and relax. Open your mind and try to 'see' the sounds. Sounds usually come in motion and in specific shapes, colors and waves. The ability to see sounds is called “synesthesia.” “Synesthesia” is a medical term for those of us who are born with the ability to see sounds and/or experience different senses at the same time, like hearing colors or tasting/smelling shapes. A small percentage of the population were born with synesthesia. It often fades with age and in most cases is pronounced during childhood. The experience of seeing sounds and crossing the senses is common with the use of psychedelic drugs such as LSD, though drug use induces synesthesia through artificial means and it cannot be controlled.

With drugs, the user is not in control, the drug is, and in self-empowerment and magickal practice, it is extremely important for the practitioner to always be in control through his/her own natural ability. Dependence on powerful mind altering substances creates weakness of character and also creates holes in the aura and a weakening of the astral body. I am not talking recreational marijuana use here, I am referring to dependence on powerful chemicals in order to reach an altered state as some mages have been known to do.

Synesthetic people are often very psychic and highly intelligent according to medical studies. CIA and U.S. Military psychics reported going through stages of synesthesia when performing extensive exercises to open their minds for psychic warfare.Synesthesia may happen with your first sound meditation or with practice. Close your eyes and note the colors, shapes and movements of the sounds. You should write this in your Book of Shadows/Black Book/journal if you keep one. You should put aside all thoughts and visions as you would for void meditation and try to “see” the sound(s)/music. In time, other senses can also come into play- what does it taste like? Smell like? The most common experience is to see the sounds, but don’t put any limitations on yourself.

Natural synesthesia facilitates clairvoyance, clairaudience and other psychic abilities. Synesthesia can be a very beautiful experience and a rewarding session of meditation. The more pathways we open and empower in our brains, the more experiences and abilities we are able to have. We are no longer just using “5-10%” of our brains. To fully develop this ability, one should listen to a variety of music and also each day, take time out to listen and “see” the sounds in one’s environment. Like anything else, the more we use this ability, the stronger it becomes.

Diet with Hypnotherapy

Mid morning. Roberta stands in front of the refrigerator struggling with herself. Eat the cake. Don't eat the cake. Eat the cake, maybe just a little piece. She gives in and begins eating until half the cake is gone. Thinking she has ruined the whole day anyway, she rationalizes hat she may as well finish the rest and start on her diet tomorrow. Sound familiar?

At this point Roberta is thinking in blocks of time - a day, a week, or even a month. What would happen if we were able to let go of that type of programming? What if we were able to let go of the guilt from the big breakfast we ate as we sit down to lunch? Or the anxiety of anticipation of dinner, seen in the context of a day?

When you consider that you will eat approximately 80,000 meals and 50,000 snacks over the period of a lifetime, this is a staggering number of eating events to cope with.

The good news is that it can be easy when you change your subconscious programming.

Here's a tip on how to start: begin to think of each eating event as unique and separate event on a continuous chain - on a timeline. There is no before and there is no after. Once you have completed a meal, it's over forever. The next one is a brand new opportunity to nourish yourself successfully, both physically and mentally. When you begin to look at your eating in this way, you become free of the emotional burden you may be carrying around that sabotages even your best efforts at control. There is no more waiting for tomorrow to start again.

The same concept works with letting go of pounds. Need to lose 20 pounds? That's a daunting task! But as you let go of one pound, it's gone. Now you need to let go of one pound again. Anyone can let go of just one pound, right? You will repeat this process for the number of times you desire, but the task becomes doable with your new perspective.

How do we knock down the barriers that hold us back? How can we reprogram our internal, subconscious life script that seems to take us in every direction but the one we really want to go in? The ideal way is through hypnotherapy.

Hypnosis allows direct access to the subconscious mind, where your beliefs systems reside. Desired changes are easy when you conscious and subconscious work together. Associations lodged in the subconscious can be altered. This allows or changes in behavior and thinking - often immediate. Food or situation triggers, which might send you off on an eating spree, are desensitized in this manner as well.

Based on the timeline perspective, using hypnosis, your subconscious is being programmed to eat the first and only meal over and over again. It's the only one that counts. When you are able to view eating in this way, and believe it, each meal becomes a pleasant opportunity for success and control.

In addition, hypnotherapy is an excellent tool for relieving fear and phobias, stress, anxiety - all factors affecting health. More reasons one might decide to go to a hypnotherapist include motivation in school or career, performance enhancement in sports and exam taking, and even pain management.

While they are not licensed by the state of California, hypnotherapists often work through referrals by medical health professionals, coordinating treatment for clients.

The actual therapeutic session is a wonderfully relaxing and positive experience as you drift gently into the sate of hypnotic relaxation. People often mistakenly believe that they will be unconscious or out of control. Ever driven home and have no memory of how you got there? Ever been so involved in a movie that you don't hear knocking on the door? Then you've been hypnotized.

In fact, the hypnotic state is one of hyper awareness and a client will never do something they would not willingly do in a conscious state. The best way to think of it is the same state as the transitional moments before falling asleep at night.

Something you can do just before going to sleep is to relax comfortably and visualize a line - a timeline - in front of you with thousands of dots on it equally spread out. See how it is a continuous chain with no beginning and no end. Take in a few deep breaths and concentrate on relaxing all the muscles in your body.

Let your mind clear and now repeat silently to yourself that you are focusing on eating on the timeline, just dealing with one meal at a time. No past, no future. Think about this and what it means to you. You will begin freeing yourself of old perspectives and develop new ones.
